SPARE PLANT TO AVOID STOPPING PLANTS
Freezer room designed for the storage of ice cream at very low temperatures, ranging from -28°C to -30°C. The structure was built using high-efficiency industrial refrigeration panels with foam-injected joints, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. The floor features a ventilated system using igloos to maintain consistent insulation from below.
To ensure uninterrupted operation and avoid downtime, two independent refrigeration systems were installed: one active and the other serving as a backup. The refrigeration units are equipped with two-stage compressors, which provide high performance even at extremely low temperatures.
Due to the presence of a photovoltaic system installed on the building’s roof, it was not possible to suspend the evaporators or panels from the ceiling structure. To overcome this limitation, a custom-designed load-bearing racking system was engineered and installed. This structure not only supports the stored goods but also holds the panels and refrigeration components, without placing any load on the warehouse building itself. Naturally, the racking system was built in full compliance with all current safety and structural regulations.
